Schedule Change to Student Move-In; Student Accommodations Requested
Due to the inclement weather schedule changes that were announced in today’s NinerNotice, please be aware that dates have moved forward by one day for those students moving into residence halls. We previously announced the need for student accommodations related to residence hall move-in, and now ask you to make any adjustments due to the inclement weather forecast.
In consideration of those undergraduate students moving into residence halls Feb. 19-22 while classes are in session, faculty should make the following accommodations:
-
For undergraduate students, there will be no assignments due or tests administered Feb. 19 and 22.
-
Any undergraduate student who must miss class Feb. 19 or 22 to move into a residence hall will have their absence excused. As verification of move-in date, students should provide instructors with the email they received from Housing and Residence Life.
Faculty are reminded to prepare in advance for planned or unplanned schedule interruptions. Preparations may include Canvas tools to communicate with students, options for remote assignments, or make-up days. When campus is closed, faculty must make alternative arrangements for class and lab instruction to continue. For additional details and options available to faculty, please refer to the UNC Charlotte Academic Procedure: Schedule Interruption Guidelines.
