Student Photos Will Be Added to Canvas Profiles as Part of Know Me Project

UNC Charlotte continues to add features and options within the Know Me Project to foster a welcoming and inclusive campus environment as a foundation for everyone’s success. Student ID photos are now visible on Canvas profiles. This will aid instructors and classmates to make better connections. In addition to student profile pages, students photos also are visible to instructors in their class roster under the People tab in Canvas.
Student photos will automatically be added to student profiles on Canvas from the photo on file with the 49er card office. Newly registered students must follow the 49er Card online photo submission process.
Returning students who already have an approved photo on file, must fill out the Replacement Photo Request Form to have your photo updated.
Photos submitted through this form must meet photo submission standards to be approved. Please allow three (3) to five (5) business days for 49er Card Office staff to approve your photo.
Please note that updates in Canvas are not immediate and may take several days or up until a week to show your new photo.
