Project & Space Request Guidelines
A collaborative vetting process is vital to avoid conflicting projects and space requests.

How to Submit a Project or Space Request:
- Faculty and Staff: Submit your space needs to your department chair. Ensure you have their support before proceeding.
- Department Chair: Present the request to your Associate Dean or Dean for review and approval. The Dean’s Office will evaluate the request in the context of other departmental priorities.
- Dean’s Office: Contact the Director of Academic & Research Space to initiate the formal process.
- Academic Affairs: A final review will be conducted to confirm the request aligns with broader university plans.
- Director of Academic & Research Space: Once approved by all parties, the Director will submit the space or project request in Archibus for Facilities Management to address.
- Leasing of Academic or Research Space to Industry Partners: Before any plans to lease academic or research space to industry partners are made, you must first discuss them with the Director of Academic & Research Space. This is to confirm there are no upcoming large-scale projects that conflict with a potential lease.
